Professor Gregory Osas Simire is a renowned scholar and expert in French Studies, linguistics, and didactics, with 75+ publications. He specializes in French as a foreign language, linguistic immersion, and applied linguistics. He is a member of several professional bodies, including UFTAN, WAL, WAAFLC, WAITI (Registrar & Secretary), NAITI, and NAL.

Passionate about French for specific purposes, he has trained students and educators across Nigeria and Ghana through various workshops and international seminars on translation, DELF certification, and language learning.

A visionary leader in ICT and AI, An ICT and AI leader, Dr. Odumuyiwa is the Director of NITDA IT Hub (NITHUB), University of Lagos, where he drives innovation and industry collaboration. Previously, as CITS Director, he led digital transformation at UNILAG.

An Associate Professor with a PhD from Lorraine University, he was an MIT ETT Fellow (2013). He leads MIRG, focusing on responsible AI for NLP, cybersecurity, and public health. He is a Core-AI innovation lead, Data Science Nigeria board member, and UNDP AI advisor.

Dr. Alice Bamidele SIMIRE, formerly a lecturer at the Nigeria French Language Village, Badagry, is an Associate Professor at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos State. Her area of specialisation is the didactics of French as a Foreign Language/French for Specific Purposes, areas in which she has published numerous articles. She believes that languages must be linked to various professions and that university degrees must be a mirror of the needs of the labour market.

She is a trainer of trainers in languages (English and French as foreign languages) at the secondary and tertiary levels. She was one of the trainers of the trainees in the training programmes organised at the Nigeria French Language Village, Badagry, as well as at the Network of French Language Centres of Africa in Togo and Ghana.

Dr. Alice Bamidele SIMIRE, formerly a lecturer. Balouga Jean holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degrees in Economics from the University of Lagos. Prior to this, he graduated from the Institute of Data Processing Management (IDPM), London. His area of specialisation is Energy Economics.

His other areas of interest are Environmental and Quantitative economics. He has published extensively in international and local journals. Simeon Olayiwola was formerly a senior lecturer at the Nigeria French Language Village, Badagry, and is an Associate Professor of French, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he teaches undergraduate and Graduate students. He has served as Visiting Senior Lecturer at the National Open University of Nigeria, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

He was formerly Academic Supervisor for South West Nigeria on the Project of the French Embassy in Nigeria and the Federal Ministry of Education. He has to his credit publications in learned journals both locally and internationally. Formerly Editor of Le Littéraire and presently Editor-in-Chief of ABUDoF Journal of Humanities, Zaria Journal of Libra Arts (ZAJOLA), Olayiwola is the author of Initiation à la culture et civilisation françaises et francophones and Littérature française à première vue. His areas of specialisation are French Metropolitan Literature, Culture and Civilisation and Applied Linguistics to the Teaching of French as a foreign Language.

Dr. Beatrice Oreoluwa is an Associate Professor with 35+ years of teaching and research in the English language at Mountain Top University, Ogun State, Nigeria. Her research focuses on Language Contact, Applied Linguistics, Lexicography, and Language Endangerment.

She has published widely in national and international journals and has presented at various conferences. A member of several professional bodies, including NAWA, AAWARD, NIM, and WAITI, she has also led English training programs for Francophone speakers and Polish Embassy staff in Lagos.

Dr. Oreoluwa translated the Universal Declaration of Human Rights into Edo and is married with children.

DR Chiamaka Ngozi Oyeka (B.A. (Ed.) UNILAG), (M.A., PhD, NAU) Igbo Language, is a senior lecturer in the Department of Linguistics, African and Asian Studies, University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. She teaches and supervises work at both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Her research focus is Igbo Language with particular interests in Language and Gender Studies, Onomastics, and Paremiology. Oyeka has several publications to her credit. She is the current Chair, Faculty of Arts Welfare Committee, Departmental PG Coordinator, Secretary, Departmental Quality Assurance and SERVICOM Committee.

Associate Editor of Igede Igbo: A Journal of Igbo Studies. She is a member, SPGS Board, the Publication Committee, the Igbo Studies Association, Gender and African Studies Group, among several others.

DR Adebisi Elizabeth Banjo is a passionate scholar and bilingual educator with a focus on Yoruba language, literature, and culture. As an author, researcher, co-editor, and academic tutor, she is dedicated to advancing Yoruba pedagogy and curriculum development. Her expertise spans Yoruba numerals, literature, gender education, and the role of food and spices in health development. Adebisi is particularly interested in early childhood education, especially Yoruba lullabies, songs, and rhymes, as tools for cultural preservation.

Currently an associate professor in the Department of Arts Education at the University of Lagos, DR Adebisi’s work extends beyond the classroom, influencing both academic and community engagement. Her contributions continue to shape the teaching and understanding of Yoruba language and culture in the modern world.
